Addition of 1,4-BDO interaction with Asian flush?

Considering one of the primary mechanisms of action for 1,4-BDO's conversion to GHB is the enzyme aldehyde dehydrogenase, and the cause of Asian flush being "lack [of] activity by an enzyme called aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2)," it could be worth noting that for those with the Asian flush gene, reduced efficacy/prolonged uptake might be an effect.
